Clapham
This Clapham house was in desperate need of refurbishment to accommodate the needs of the family.
They wanted a 2nd bathroom, the kitchen and dining spaces needed an update and the existing extension was leaking badly. The property is located in a conservation area and is a charming Victorian semi detached house with a hipped roof that could not be visually altered when viewed from the street.
We removed the rear hip of the house which allowed for full height head clearance into the tall part of the loft to create a new shower room. We also managed to fit in a sleeping deck which was perfect for guests. To the ground floor we demolished the existing extension and rebuilt it slightly enlarged and made the kitchen dining open plan with clever use of previously unused spaces as a pantry, office space and laundry.
The project was delivered on time and exactly to the cost that I advised the client at our first meeting!
